Switch from CH-LOGIN to AGOV-Login
with a different email address


  1. Enter the URL of your desired specialist application or alternatively www.myaccount.eiam.admin.ch (eIAM MyAccount) in your browser and press Enter. The login selection shown below appears.

  2. Log in with your AGOV-Login or register an AGOV-Login using the email address of your choice.

    If your AGOV-Login uses the same email address as your CH-LOGIN, please follow this instruction: Switch from CH-LOGIN to AGOV-Login with the same email address .

  3. No CH-LOGIN was found using the email address of your AGOV-Login. Select the option “Yes, …” and click “Next” to migrate your CH-LOGIN with a different email address to your AGOV-Login. If you do not have a CH-LOGIN, select the “No, …” option. Note the expandable section.

    Please note that this option means that no access rights will be transferred to your AGOV-Login.

    Since this is irreversible afterwards, you must check the box to confirm that you understand this situation. Click “Next” if you are sure.

    Your AGOV-Login is activated for use with the Confederation. Click “Go to application” to access it. You will be redirected automatically after 10 seconds.

  4. Carefully read the displayed notice. Then enter the e-mail address and password of your CH-LOGIN and confirm by clicking “Continue”.

    If you have forgotten your password, click the link of the same name. Follow the additional steps in the expandable “Forgot password?” section.

    Click “Continue” to receive a verification code sent to your email address.

    Enter the verification code you received and click “Continue”. Please note that you do not need to change your password and will be forwarded directly to the next step.

  5. Two-factor authentication is now required. In the example below, this is done using a confirmation code (mTan) sent via SMS.

    Alternatively, you may use your security questions. Click the link “Continue with security questions” and refer to the collapsible section.

    Enter the answers to your security questions and click “Continue”. If you no longer know your security questions, follow the instructions available via the link “Contact support”.

  6. You have now successfully switched from CH-LOGIN to AGOV-Login. Click “Go to application” to proceed. You will be automatically redirected after 10 seconds.
