You have tried to log in via FED-LOGIN and received the Error message "Unknown identity"? This is because eIAM does not yet recognise your account, which may be due to the following:
- You have just been fitted with a smartcard.
Please note that as an employee of the Federal Administration, you can use the smartcard for one hour at the earliest, and as a member of the armed forces or an employee of a cantonal/municipal administration, you can use the smartcard in eIAM on the following day at the earliest.eIAM has not yet received your smartcard information. The reason for this is data processing via various systems in the background
- You are using either a soft certificate account, an F account or a T account.
Please note that for governance and security reasons, the use of such account types is handled more restrictively. Their use requires a prior order via Managed Techuser Forms . Important: For the registration of accounts in eIAM, a formal approval by the CISO of the office is mandatory.
