Instructions: Switch CH-LOGIN to AGOV
Support case “Security questions forgotten”

Initial situation

During the switch to AGOV-Login, you no longer had access to a second factor for your CH-LOGIN. Therefore, you selected the option to authenticate via security questions. Unfortunately, you have forgotten these and now require assistance.

For security reasons, we can only perform the required reset of your CH-LOGIN once you submit the request using the CH-LOGIN modification form, along with a copy of an official ID, via email.

Next steps:

  1. Go to the following page.
You will find explanations about the form as well as the download link.
  2. Print the modification form.
  3. Fill out the section “My Data” and select option 1.
  4. Choose one of the options 2 to 5 depending on how your CH-LOGIN was originally set up.
  5. Create a copy of an official photo ID (e.g. passport or ID card). Send both documents to: servicedesk@bit.admin.ch.
    • Subject: CH-LOGIN modification for AGOV-Login upgrade.
    • Message: Free text as desired.
  6. The service desk will verify that your modification request is complete and will follow up with you.
  7. After the modification is complete, you will be able to repeat the upgrade to your AGOV-Login.
